Pocket Letters...

So, have you gotten hooked on the new crafty craze of Pocket Letters yet? Well, you certainly can't make just one! They are addictive. They are a cross between the old pen pal letters and ATC trading cards with a some wonderful goodies thrown in for good measure. A sweet girl named Janet Lane posted some Instagram photos in the beginning of the year, then she made a Youtube video and that's when the floodgates opened! Here is a link to her website. They are so simple to make. You just use a the nine pocket, 3-ring binder style trading card sleeves. It's probably easiest if I just post a few photos.

This is the front of a recent mason jar themed Pocket Letter I did for a swap on Mini Album Scraps for my friend TruDee. The back is where it gets more interesting...

For the swap we had certain requirements. On Janet's website you'll read about the traditional requirements. Ours were as follows: we had to include a letter to the recipient, a treat of their choosing (you don't see mine as it was too big, I packaged it separately, lol), something that represented the state in which you live (thus the Florida beach sand and charm), something yummy (the Tazo tea), a favorite quote, an embellishment of their choice (mine are packed in the small kraft bags), a surprise (also packed in a kraft bag), and then some other goodies to fill the rest of the pockets.

I sure hope you enjoy checking out all there is to learn about this new craft! I also have a couple of videos on my YouTube channel.

Well, thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!!
